Hello! This is my 16th year as a Sango Panther in the Comprehensive Developmental Classroom. During my 23 years as a Special Educator, I have taught Pk-6th grades ( Developmental Pre-Kindergarten, and Resource from Inclusion settings to self-contained and pullout). I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education/Psychology at Austin Peay State University. I am pursuing my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at WGU.

I enjoy spending time with my family. I am happily married to William of 28 years and we have 3 beautiful children, DaLana (22 years old), LaJuana (20 years old), and David (18 years old). My husband and I have spent 20 years in pastoral Student Christian Ministry. I enjoy the fall season, the sights and sounds of Christmas, and going to the beach. My hobbies are crafting (making wreaths and crocheting), baking cakes, shopping, and thrifting! I also have a heart for music and have been a part of the Heart of Worship Ministries.

The following are classroom habits that helps us for success not only in the classroom but throughout our school environment and at home.  We want our students to be lifelong learners and show Sango PRIDE!

We are safe, responsible, and respectful by following these habits:

  1.  Stay in your seat - work area.
  2.  Work - Complete Tasks
  3.  Keep eyes on the teacher and screen  -  Great skills for listening by showing respect to the person talking.
  4. Being Quiet so you can Listen - Be a great listener to learn and gain knowledge.
  5.  Communicate - Communication is the key to success - Let others know your wants and needs. Communicate by participating in lessons!
  6. Raise your Hand -  Be respectful to others by not blurting out.   Wait your turn by raising your hand.
  7. Keep hands and Feet to Self.
